1. Introduction

This Contingency Management Plan (CMP) establishes the procedures and responsibilities required to ensure the continued availability, integrity, and recovery of the official website of Sardar Patel Zoological Park during unforeseen incidents, disruptions, or disasters.

The objective of this plan is to minimize service interruptions, protect website information assets, and restore services within acceptable timeframes.

This plan has been prepared in accordance with applicable Guidelines for Indian Government Websites (GIGW) and STQC requirements.

2. Scope

This plan applies to all components supporting the official website, including:

  • Website application hosted on Railway.
  • Database services hosted on Supabase.
  • Domain Name Services (DNS).
  • SSL/TLS certificates.
  • Website source code repositories.
  • Content management and administrative functions.
  • Website monitoring and backup systems.

3. Web Information Manager (WIM)

The Web Information Manager is responsible for overseeing website governance, approving website policies, coordinating contingency activities, and ensuring compliance with applicable standards.

B. Railway Hosting Failure

  2. Contact hosting support if required.
  3. Roll back to a stable deployment where applicable.
  4. Restore application functionality.
  5. Confirm website availability.

C. Supabase Database Failure

Actions:

  1. Verify database connectivity.
  2. Identify root cause.
  3. Restore from latest available backup if necessary.
  4. Validate data integrity.
  5. Resume website operations.

D. Security Incident

  2. Review application and database logs.
